How to Connect your Siimple Website to a Domain Name
Option 1: Buy a Custom Domain Through Siimple
This is the easiest, most hands-off option.
If you don’t already own a domain, you can search for and buy one directly inside Siimple. We don't charge any additional fees just the base cost of the domain name that is designated by the global registrar.
How this works
You search for a domain name in Siimple
You purchase it during setup
Siimple automatically connects it to your website
No DNS settings, no copying records, no extra steps
Behind the scenes, Siimple registers your domain using Amazon Route 53, one of the most trusted domain and DNS providers on the internet.
Option 2: Use a Domain You Already Own (Free)
If you already own a domain from somewhere else (like GoDaddy, Namecheap, Google Domains, etc.), you can connect it to Siimple for free.
How this works
You keep your domain where it is
Siimple gives you the exact DNS records you need
You update those records at your current domain provider
Once they propagate, your Siimple site goes live
We provide step-by-step instructions so you don’t have to guess.
Option 3: Use a Free Siimple Subdomain
If you just want to build your site and worry about domains later, you can use a free Siimple subdomain.
Example:
yourbusiness.siimple.site
How this works
No purchase required
Your site is live instantly
You can switch to a custom domain later without rebuilding anything
Siimple Partners with Amazon Route 53 for Domain Names
When you buy a domain through Siimple, the technical side is handled using Amazon Route 53.
What is Route 53?
Route 53 is:
A domain registrar (where domains are officially registered)
A DNS provider (the system that connects your domain to your website)
It’s the same infrastructure used by large, high-traffic websites and applications.
What this means in practice
Siimple acts as the interface you use
Route 53 handles the internet-level plumbing
You don’t need to manage nameservers, records, or configurations manually
Everything is set up securely and correctly by default
You get the reliability of enterprise-grade infrastructure without having to touch any of it.
⚠️ Important Notes:
Domain Names Are Non-Refundable
When a domain is purchased, it’s immediately registered in your name and removed from public availability. That registration can’t be undone or returned, even if the domain isn’t used.
Because of this, domain purchases are final and non-refundable everywhere — not just on Siimple.
Domain Names Have a Transfer Lock Window
Newly registered domains are placed in a temporary transfer lock, usually 60 days. The lock is a standard security rule that helps prevent theft or accidental transfers.
This means:
You can’t move the domain to another registrar during this time
You can use the domain normally (build your site, go live, set up email)
Domains purchased through Siimple are registered via Amazon Route 53, and the same industry rules apply.
