Set up Gmail with Google Workspace

Connect a domain purchased through Siimple to Google Workspace Gmail.

Use this guide to set up Gmail for a domain you purchased through Siimple, such as [email protected].

Before you begin

  • You need an active Google Workspace account for this domain.

  • You need access to Google Admin.

Siimple saves the domain’s email settings. Google Workspace activates Gmail and creates your email addresses.

Domain Gmail overview

Connect your domain to Gmail

Gmail setup
  1. Start Gmail setup for the domain you want to use in Siimple.

  2. Confirm that Google Workspace is set up and that Google has verified your domain.

  3. Save the Gmail connection for your domain.

Important: If this domain currently receives email through another provider, connecting Gmail changes where new email is delivered. Make sure you are ready to move email to Google Workspace before continuing.

When Siimple confirms that your domain settings are saved, continue with Google Workspace. This confirms that the settings were saved to your domain; Google Admin completes Gmail activation.

Finish in Google Admin

  1. Follow Google’s prompts to turn on Gmail for your domain.

  2. Create the email addresses you need in Google Workspace.

If Google asks for a verification code

Google may give you a verification code that starts with google-site-verification=. Add that code to the Gmail setup for your domain in Siimple, then return to Google Admin to finish verification.

If Google gives you a security record

Google may provide a security record, also called a DKIM record. Add the selector and value Google provides to your domain’s Gmail setup in Siimple. This helps Google verify email sent from your domain.
